Pentecost - the Holy Spirit is given to the first fruits of God's spiritual harvest.
This coming Sunday, in the Christian tradition, is the Feast of Pentecost. There is an allegorical linkage to the Jewish festival of Shavuot and the Christian Feast of Weeks. Just as Shavuot is a harvest festival, Pentecost - in the Christian tradition - is also regarded as a harvest festival.
